Over more than 20 years, pianist and composer Hiromi has dazzled audiences worldwide with her virtuosic playing, inventive compositions, and explosive live performances. She has earned a GRAMMY® Award for her collaboration with Stanley Clarke, the 2024 Best Music Score Award from the Japanese Academy for Blue Giant, and performed at the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
In 2023, she released Sonicwonderland, debuting Hiromi’s Sonicwonder with Hadrien Feraud on bass, Gene Coye on drums, and trumpeter Adam O’Farrill. The album blends jazz-rock fusion, classical virtuosity, funk, and pop, capturing both Hiromi’s energy and the band’s tight chemistry developed through touring.
Her 13th studio album, OUT THERE, features a four-part title suite, standout tracks like “XYZ” and “Yes! Ramen!!,” and a two-part rendition of “Pendulum” with vocalist Michelle Willis. The album reflects Hiromi’s curiosity, adventurous spirit, and mastery of improvisation, offering listeners a dynamic, immersive experience.
From early performances in Japan to international stages, Hiromi continues to push jazz forward, combining technical mastery with creativity, and establishing herself as one of the most innovative and captivating pianists of her generation.
