Hot Like Mars are a Chicago-based jam-funk quintet blending soulful vocals, classic R&B, rock, and fearless improvisation. Featuring vocalist/keyboardist A.P. (Anthony Perry), guitarists Pat Walsh and Frankie “Lightning” Minella, bassist Lamontè Norwood, and drummer Wes Julien, the band delivers infectious grooves and high-energy performances.
Since forming in late 2023, Hot Like Mars have grown into a rising national touring act, performing at festivals like Northlands Music & Arts Festival and selling out shows across the country. Their 2025 studio album, One Way Ticket Up, features soulful melodies and standout tracks like “Good Vibrations” and “My Angels,” while their live album, The Red Tapes, captures the improvisation and energy of their performances.
In 2026, Hot Like Mars joined Universal Attractions Agency as they continue expanding their national touring presence and developing new music. Blending funk, soul, and rock, the band is building a growing fanbase while creating inclusive spaces centered on music, movement, and community.
