Due to popular demand, Aja: A Tribute to the Music of Steely Dan has decided, in partnership with The Ludlow Garage, to add a very special matinee performance to the calendar on Saturday, December 7th at 3:30pm. To make it even more special, the centerpiece of the band’s 90-minute set will be a complete performance of Steely Dan’s classic album The Royal Scam. The band has never performed this album in its entirety and is excited to add that to its repertoire. Released in 1976, The Royal Scam is the band’s 5th studio album and contains a treasure trove of amazing songwriting from Donald Fagen and Walter Becker along with classic instrumental performances from an all start cast of studio heavyweights like guitarist Larry Carlton. Come to the early show and enjoy classics like “Kid Charlemagne”, “Don’t Take Me Alive”, “Haitian Divorce”, and “Sign in Stranger”, along with the epic title track “The Royal Scam”. The band will round out the 90-minute set with a collection of other Steely Dan concert classics and deep cuts that are sure to make for an enjoyable early evening date night or the beginning of an epic night of classic “Yacht Rock” …if you want to attend both Aja sets. The currently sold out later show will contain a complete performance of Steely Dan’s 1977 classic album Aja along with other classics and deep cuts.
