Chester, Pennsylvania native Avery*Sunshine has established herself as a true musical powerhouse, seamlessly blending her roles as pianist, singer, songwriter, and producer. A proud graduate of Spelman College, her path from the classroom to stages around the world reflects her talent, dedication, and lifelong passion for music. Together with her husband and Grammy-nominated partner Dana Johnson, Avery has built a thriving creative hub in Atlanta, where the two continue to expand their musical and entrepreneurial ventures.
Avery’s career is highlighted by four Top 20 Billboard hits, including her signature single “Call My Name,” which reached #1 and solidified her place in contemporary soul and R&B. Beyond her artistry, she is a vocal advocate for fellow musicians, serving as a Board Governor for the Atlanta Chapter of the Recording Academy. Her entrepreneurial drive fuels BigShine Recordings, the independent label she co-founded to support and elevate emerging artists, as well as LouMack Beauty Cosmetics Corp, her growing beauty brand.
