It’s The Ludlow Garage’s 50th anniversary, so we’re throwing a party worthy of the occasion…with Dweezil Zappa! Dweezil will perform his father’s entire HOT RATS album, in sequence, live on our historic #Clifton stage.
Dweezil says: “We have always enjoyed presenting Frank’s music to audiences. This tour gives us the opportunity to perform Hot Rats as well as other material from his huge body of work that is still as alive and relevant today as it was when it was composed.”
HOT RATS played a pivotal role in establishing Frank Zappa’s reputation as a genius composer and guitarist, and was dedicated to Dweezil, who’d been born on September 5, just days before the album’s 1969 release.
That same month — September 19 — Jim Tarbell opened the avant garde rock club that would change the Tristate’s musical outlook, contribute to legendary band histories, and put #Cincinnati on the rock map.
