LIVE AT THE FILLMORE is widely acknowledged as the #1 tribute to The Allman Brothers Band, delivering a powerful and authentic recreation of the band’s legendary early years. Seen by millions on AXS TV’s World’s Greatest Tribute Bands filmed live from the Whisky A Go Go, Live at the Fillmore has shared the stage with iconic artists including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, 38 Special, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and more. A longtime favorite at the Ludlow Garage, the band continues to draw devoted fans nationwide.
Founded by Lou Maresca, Live at the Fillmore was inspired by Maresca’s firsthand experiences seeing the original Allman Brothers Band perform at New York’s legendary Fillmore East—often called the “church of rock and roll.” He attended the historic June 26, 1971 late show, the final public concert at Fillmore East, a performance the Allman Brothers themselves have called “THE SHOW”—the greatest of their career. These formative experiences, including the profound loss of Duane Allman later that year, left a lasting impression and shaped Maresca’s lifelong dedication to preserving the music.
Live at the Fillmore focuses on the glory years of the Allman Brothers Band, honoring the era before the untimely deaths of Duane Allman and Berry Oakley and the departure of Dickey Betts. Embracing the band’s own philosophy as “a band that jams” rather than a jam band, Live at the Fillmore faithfully recreates the structure, nuance, and spirit of the original performances while allowing room for inspired improvisation. The result is a powerful, respectful concert experience that brings the sound, soul, and legacy of the Allman Brothers Band vividly back to life.
