Omar Hakim began playing drums at age five and was performing publicly by ten alongside his father, a trombonist with the Duke Ellington Orchestra and Count Basie Orchestra. He has since toured and recorded with artists including Miles Davis, David Bowie, Dire Straits, Madonna, Daft Punk, and Sting. He is also Chair of Percussion at Berklee College of Music.

Rachel Z is a Grammy-winning, Grammy-nominated keyboardist and composer with 13 albums as a bandleader. Her credits include work with Wayne Shorter, Stanley Clarke, and Marcus Miller, along with touring with Peter Gabriel. She has held faculty roles at The New School and Montclair State University.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Collective  is a performance group of musicians ages 13–18, created for advanced students seeking real-world experience beyond traditional programs. Founded by producer Jeremy Gerard and directed by industry professionals including Hakim and Rachel Z, the Collective has toured across the U.S. and Europe, including appearances with Frank Zappa alumni and Gibby Haynes of Butthole Surfers. It serves as a launchpad for the next generation of professional musicians.
