Shawn Mullins first broke through to critical and commercial success with his 1998 album Soul’s Core, propelled by the Grammy-nominated No. 1 hit “Lullaby.” He followed with the AAA/Americana chart-topper “Beautiful Wreck” from 2006’s 9th Ward Pickin’ Parlor. His music has reached wide audiences—“Shimmer” was featured in promotion for the 2000 Summer Olympics and on the Dawson’s Creek soundtrack, while “All in My Head” appeared in the premiere episode of Scrubs. Mullins also co-wrote the Zac Brown Band’s No. 1 hit “Toes.”
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of his breakthrough, Mullins revisited Soul’s Core with Soul’s Core Revival—a full reimagining featuring new recordings, including stripped-down performances and a version with his full band, Soul Carnival.
Opening the show is Cat Ridgeway, a powerhouse performer from Orlando, FL, voted Best Rock Act and Best Singer/Songwriter three years running. Known for her soulful vocals, high energy, and magnetic stage presence, Ridgeway has quickly built a national buzz.
Her 2020 release Nice to Meet You marked her debut as an independent touring artist on commercial radio, earning spots on multiple “Ones to Watch” lists. She has supported artists including Houndmouth, Amanda Shires, and Marty Balin, and shared stages with Arcade Fire, Hozier, and Lucy Dacus. With a voice far larger than her frame and an electrifying live presence, Ridgeway sets the stage for an unforgettable night of music.
