Stewart Copeland is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted musician and one of the most influential figures in modern rock. As the co-founder and drummer of The Police, formed in 1977 with Sting and Andy Summers, he helped drive a band that achieved four consecutive No. 1 albums, sold over 75 million records worldwide, and produced iconic hits including Message in a Bottle, Don’t Stand So Close to Me, and Every Breath You Take. The Police later reunited for a record-breaking world tour in 2007.
Following The Police, Copeland built a second career as a composer, beginning with a Grammy-winning film score for Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish. Over the past four decades, he has composed music for film, television, opera, ballet, and chamber ensembles, earning critical acclaim while continuing to perform internationally.
In recent years, Copeland has published two autobiographical books and unveiled Police Deranged for Orchestra, an orchestral reimagining of The Police’s catalog. This summer, he brings his first U.S. spoken-word tour, “Has He Said Too Much?”, offering audiences an intimate reflection on his life and career.
